Huanggang Daguanghua International School has been approved

In January 16, 2013, China Huanggang government approved a brand-new American style high school, a joint venture high school to be located in Huanggang, Hubei Province, China. The new school is expected to begin operations during the 2015-2016 academic year, pending final approval from the Department of education of Hubei Province.

Huanggang city is a prosperous, forward-thinking and rapidly expanding city near Wuhan city, the biggest city in the central of China. It is a major municipality in eastern Hubei province, China. It is situated to the north of the middle reaches of the Yangtze River and is bounded in the north by the Dabie Shan mountain range. Huanggang is the home of Huanggang Middle School, one of the most prestigious secondary schools in China. The school is especially well known for its smart and diligent students. It has consistently excellent records in China's National Higher Education Entrance Examination and International Science Olympiad. Students from Huanggang Middle School have won 25 medals in The International Mathematical Olympiad, International Physics Olympiad and International Chemistry Olympiad. Textbooks and course materials edited by facultys from this school are widely recognized and popular all over the country, making Huanggang High School a national brand.

Weihai Daguanghua Education Investment Co. Ltd will invest over $4,000,000 to support the program in Huanggang city. The construction of the initial campus, comprising 160,000 square feet of buildings on a 50-acre site will be finished in 2014. Now SUIE, a branch of Weihai Daguanghua Education Investment Co. Ltd in North America, is seeking for an academic partner for the creation of this new school.
