Since being
established in 2013, Shunde experimental school has seen its graduates get
accepted in many school overseas. As a result, many of these international
schools has sent their admission officers to visit our school to share their admissions
process to our students.
This morning,
Rochester University recruiter Isthier Chaudhurn came to our international
program and spoke about open curriculum, research and the application process
with our students
Through these
speaking events, our freshmen students were able to gain a basic understanding
about applying to schools overseas, while our sophomore students were able to
understand better how to concretely achieve their goals. They are currently
preparing for TEOFL exams, and one student, Katherine, scored 87. Even though
this is a good score for a lot of schools, she wants to aim higher for the top
schools. In her last year, she has said she wants to improve her leadership
skills and public speaking skills, and participate in more community activities.
After the
event, all students in the international program leaves their email address and
personal information, so they can hear more information in the future. Through
todays activity, students attained a tangible vision on how to apply to college
and achieve their academic goals.
Rochester (NY, US) is a private university, and has 8 nobel prize winners, 12 pulitzer prize winners. It is ranked 31 in the US news best schools in 2017.
